Something For The Weekend

12 December 2013

It's sequin season and it's safe to say that everything we want to wear at the moment seems to be covered in them. This was nearly an entirely sequinned special but we appreciate that not everyone likes to literally shine on the dance floor.

From designer dress hire to cocktail print trousers, these are the pieces we think you should splash the cash on this weekend...

1. Cross Back Sequin Dress by Glamorous - £51

Okay so this dress is a bit of a pain if you wanna wear a bra, but the low exposed back is why we like it. Laid back sexiness.

Buy it here.

2. Graphic Blouse by ASOS Premium - £50

Whilst you may not be able to wear a bra with the dress above, you DEFINITELY need to wear a bra with this sheer shirt. Unless you're Miley Cyrus. Opt for a black t-shirt bra and match with black trousers for a high fashion grungey look.

Buy it here.

3. Cocktail Print Trousers by House of Holland - £180

We wonder if Henry Holland is a LateNightLondon fan?

Buy it here.

4. Rainbow Dress by Marc Jacobs - £49 (hire)

This dress retailed for a whopping £900 but can be hired for just £49 from - as can hundreds of other designer dresses. If you want a designer frock on a high street budget for your next night on the tiles then def check the rental site out.

Hire it here.

5. Leopard Clutch by Miss Selfridge - £35

Metal and leather leopard print - in bright yellow? YES PLEASE.

Buy it here.

6. Floral Jumpsuit by Topshop - £70

It would be hard to love this floral boiler suit more. Maximum fash points.

Buy it here.

7. Silk Snake Shirt by Reiss - £125

If you've always fancied an Equipment shirt but been off put by the price tag, this Reiss shirt is a good alternative. Obvs it's still not a bargain bucket price, but it is 100% silk.

Buy it here.

8. Sequin Shorts by Glamorous - £32

They may be runner style shorts, but you definitely didn't wear anything this glam for PE back in the day.

Buy it here.

9. Glitter Whisper Dress by French Connection - £180

The full puff skirt of this dress will make you feel like a princess AND there's a brilliant big bow on the back. Everyone loves a giant bow.

Buy it here.

10. Check Skirt by Oasis - £35

You thought there wasn't going to be any tartan, didn't you? Sorry, but this skirt is just too versatile to leave out! This Clueless inspired mini can work for day or night, so you needn't reserve it just for parties. The leather trim detail makes it extra lust worthy.
