Something For The Weekend

28 November 2013

Everyone's banging on about Christmas shopping but we can't help thinking that it's still November (just) and therefore we're definitely still entitled to shop for ourselves.

You may want a new dress for the fast approaching party season, but you may just want a new dress because it's nearly Saturday. And there's nothing wrong with celebrating a good ol' fashioned Saturday.

Here be my top ten suggestions for this weekend...

1. 60s Crop Jacquard Dress by Topshop - £65

The high neck and waist detail make this dress super flattering. If you can pair it with a bob and retro lashes then even better.

Buy it here.

2. Prague Heels by ASOS - £33.50 (reduced from £45)

As seen on the catwalks, this cut out high vamp style is nothing short of perfection.

Buy them here.

3. Bella Check Crop Jacket by BooHoo - £25

Not keen to invest in an entire tartan wardrobe but want to update your outfits for AW13? Enter the cheap as chips tartan cropped jacket. This hottie looks fab over a black or white dress. For a more laid back look, just match it with a simple white vest, on trend jeans and killer heels.

Buy it here.

4. Skinny Jeans by H&M - £29.99

Speaking of on trend jeans, patchwork denim is everywhere at the moment. I love the contrasting fabrics on this H&M pair.

Buy them here.

5. Leather Look Skater Dress by ASOS - £24.50 (reduced from £35)

I don't think I'm capable of ending my leather dress obsession. The high waist of this dress teamed with the kick of the box pleat skirt makes for a very flattering cut indeed.

Buy it here.

6. Faux Fur Snood by River Island - £30

Until you own a furry snood you have no concept of just how snugglesome they really are. They do a surprisingly good job of keeping you warm, which is always a bonus when braving a flimsy jacket on a night out.

Buy it here.

7. Cornelli Playsuit by Topshop - £36

Yeah yeah, I know playsuits aren't much fun once it comes to needing a wee, but this playsuit looks GREAT ON - espesh with black tights and chunky wedges - so it's worth the hassle.

Buy it here.

8. Lizzie Leopard Clutch by Accessorize - £15

You don't always need a mahoosive bag for a night out. This clutch has internal pockets and a zipped compartment, so it's ideal for when you don't want to lug around half your belongings.

Buy it here.

9. Printed Dress by Zara - £29.99

Because who says you can't be girly, sporty and stylish all at once?

Buy it here.

10. The Original Onesies by OnePiece - from £59

Obviously NOT for a big night out, but more for the hangover from hell the morning after. Onesies are all over the high street and yes, you can nab them for a tenner at Primarni and the like, but the original OnePiece designs are still the best. With super soft fleece like you've never felt, they're like being surrounded in a duvet that hugs you back.
