5 Colours In Her Hair

22 August 2014

Blue/red/pink/purple hair for one night only? Yes please! Who remembers that great McFly classic "5 Colours In Her Hair"?

It was a pretty big floorfiller back in the day (maybe more at children's birthday parties than at nightclubs, but hey) and I implore you to play it as you read this post.

Because yep, I'm talking about crazy colourful hair today. The trend has been pretty hard to avoid (should we blame Nicki Minaj for this?) but it's been pretty hard to join in with too, that's unless you work in an industry where your boss would approve of pink bubblegum hair which, let's face it, most of us don't.

So what's a girl to do if she fancies purple locks for partying but doesn't particularly want to get a phone call from HR?

You turn to label.m's Powder Sprays...

These beauties will colour your hair but - crucially - they will wash out too.

With carnival this weekend and Bestival the week after, now's as good a time as any to turn your hair blue.

I had a go myself and have to say I was pretty impressed...

It really does wash out instantly, which was a relief as I didn't fancy being a smurfette forever.

Other beauty and fashion bloggers have been playing with them too and you can take a look at some of their reviews here if you don't want to take my word for it that THEY'RE THE MOST FUN THING EVER.

The large bottles are £9.95 each (you can grab them online here) or you can buy a set of 4 mini versions for the ultimate rainbow hair makeover for £15. If you want them in time for carnival and there's no time to sit around waiting for the postman, then you'll be pleased to hear you can pick them up in most TONI&GUY, label.m and essensuals salons too.

Red and purple works best on brunettes, lucky blondes will find all the colours show up awesomely on their annoyingly perfect blonde locks. That being said, my hair is pretty dark and I loved how the blue looked on mine. I guess I just had to use more product than a fair headed type might have.

Will we be seeing more rainbow hair in our Scene Stealers galleries? WE HOPE SO!

Happy hair playing xxx
