Christmas Cocktails Part 1

2 December 2014

At Late Night London we have been known to get a little overexcited about Christmas once in a while (maybe every year, whatever). But it’s very hard not to when you're surrounded by so many talented mixologists and exciting varieties of booze.

With that said we have gone all out to bring you a little festive joy in a glass whatever your tastes…

If you’re feeling fruity and it’s still not quite time for Christmas pud, then the Rockin’ Robin is sure to quell the festive cravings. Blending Absolut Berry Acai vodka with redcurrant jam, crème de mure (that’s blackberry when it’s not at home…), cranberry and lime juices this luscious thirst quencher will hit all the right notes.

For a dash of fizz (because if you can’t sparkle at Christmas, when can you?) try the North Star. Shaking Absolut Berry Acai and crème de cassis with pomegranate juice before topping off the delectable concoction with Prosecco, this offering is sure to guide you in the right direction for the bubbliest of Christmas refreshments.

For a tipple jolly enough for the main man himself, Santa’s Nightcap is the epitome of festive sophistication. Featuring 12 year old Chivas whiskey blended with port, plum jam, and lemon and pomegranate juices, this winter warmer served on the rocks with an orange twist will have you feeling so merry you’ll be checking your chin for signs of a bushy white beard.

Perhaps you’re exhausted after all that Christmas shopping and need an energy kick to pick you up for round two…help is at hand in the form of the Espresso and Gingerbread martini. Combining the fresh taste of Absolut Vanilla and Kahlua with the scrummy goodness of gingerbread syrup and espresso, this wintery delight will go down a treat. Did we mention the cute gingerbread man floating happily on top?! Starbucks who.

Saving the prettiest for last, the ever so gorgeous Snowflake will have you dreaming of the whitest of white Christmas’ that Bing Crosby himself couldn’t even croon about. A mix of Malibu, Coco Lopez, pistachio syrup and milk, and adorned with coconut shavings fresh as a newly fallen blanket of the real white stuff, this beautiful cocktail will take your Christmas spirit to the next level.

These delicious snifters are available in venues across London, including Grace Bar, The Gallery, Abbey Bar, The Last, the Sterling, The Gable and The Warwick. So wherever your stomping ground you can indulge your festive spirit from the City to the West End. We suggest trying them straight away, yule be sorry if you don’t…
