Something for the weekend

14 February 2014

London Fashion Week starts today so it feels apt to celebrate all things London in this week's shopping column.

Everything included below is by a designer who will be showing at LFW over the coming days and whilst it's not exactly the cheapest selection of goodies, there ARE a lot of bargains available. Erdem for 55% off? Mary Katrantzou for 60% off? These are worthwhile investments in design talent, people! (That's what you need to tell your bank manager, anyway).

1. Merino Wool Jumper by Markus Lupfer - £270

Why so serious, fash pack?

Buy it here.

2. Ring by Topshop Unique - £25

Designer accessories are the quickest way to lift an outfit and this unusual bead ring manages to be both utilitarian and captivating.

Buy it here.

3. Silk-twill Dress by Mary Katrantzou - £648 (reduced from £1620)

I remember seeing this dress on the catwalk and I can't believe it's now on sale. Definitely more desirable than, say, paying your rent this month.

Buy it here.

4. Purse by Anya Hindmarch - £135

Well it *is* Valentine's Day.

Buy it here.

5. Contrast Collar Dress by Antipodium - £175

The sheer stripes! The curved collar! The delicate box pleats! This dress is a wow.

Buy it here.

6. Shirt Dress by Topshop Unique - £120

As seen on the runway last September, this dress is SO darn effortless. Team with sliders and tanned legs (summer is coming, right?!) and you're good to go.

Buy it here.

7. Sweatshirt by Ashish - £99 (reduced from £248)

Buy it here.

8. Silk Trousers by Issa - £125 (reduced from £250)

Welcome to the jungle.

Buy them here.

9. Jacquard Dress by Matthew Williamson - £358 (reduced from £895)

A mono dress is always a worthy wardrobe addition, espesh when in such a flattering shape.

Buy it here.

10. Mini Skirt by Erdem - £177.75 (reduced from £395)

It's hard to believe that this Erdem skirt ever went to sale as it's from one of his most famous collections yet, but if you've got the legs then The Outnet has the bargain.

Buy it here.
