What to look forward to 2014

2 January 2014

So, we’ve started on a new year. What delights do we have to look forward to? A celeb wedding from heaven (or hell) and a cup are two of the reasons to get out of bed for another 365 days.

World Cup in Brazil

If Brazil is famous for one thing it’s football, and also carnival. This World Cup is going to be the football event of a lifetime and if you’re lucky enough to have got your hands on a golden ticket it’s going to be an experience like no other. Not only do Brazilians know how to play football, they know how to party making this the sports and party event of 2014.

Lily Allen’s new album

If Lily's first album in three years is just as good as new single 'Hard Out Here', we're in for a treat. After her break from becoming a mum, Lily has come back sassier than ever with a whole new attitude. We love, love, love that she’s back – we’ve missed her.

Nelson Mandela Long Walk to Freedom

Everyone loves Idris Elba, and his new role as Nelson Mandela seems to have gone down a treat. His latest 5 star film, which is based on the Nelson Mandela's life journey from his childhood in a rural village through to his inauguration as the first democratically elected president of South Africa, is set to be the film of the year. We loved Luther, and we’re sure we’re going to love this even more.

Beyonce tour

We blinked and Beyonce released an album with over thirty songs and 8 music videos. We’ve always known she’s an incredible woman, but this is truly incredible. Of course there would be no Beyonce album without a tour and with her new alter ego ‘Yonce’ out in force; this is going to be one hell of a performance.

Kimye wedding

It was always going to be big. With rumours they are planning to tie the knot at the Palace of Versailles this is going to be more over the top than any celebrity holy matrimony seen before, and we’d expect nothing less from the dream team that is Kim and Kanye. If only we had an invite… Or not.

Kate Moss Topshop Collaboration

Get ready to sharpen those elbows because the Mossy is back. After a three-year break, there is a new Kate Moss for Topshop fashion collection ready to take the world by storm come April. Question is, will this collaboration cause the same level of frenzy as the last ones did, where the 2007 range was described as “the most sought-after high street collection in history”? While we may feel less inclined to rearrange our lives around the launch, as we’ve done too many times by now, we’re still preeeetty excited and bet the answer to the question is a very resounding ‘YES!’…
