Something For The Weekend

18 July 2014

As the epic thunder and lightning of last night wasn't going to let me sleep, I did what I do best at 4am - SHOP. A lot of the sales are winding up now (unless you're a size 4 or size 18, it seems like most of the good stuff has gone) but...

...there are some decent bargains still left to be snapped up if you know where to look.

At time of writing all the below sale items are available in a full range of sizes, but there are some new products included below too as the stores start to release the last of their 'high summer' pieces.

I think I'm going to need to extend my overdraft.

Happy shopping!

1. Dress by French Connection - £64 (reduced from £80)

I bloody love this dress, it's obviously a bit of a tribute to the 'brush stroke' pieces in the Chanel SS14 Collection, but by being black on white (rather than Chanel's heady mix of watercolour brights) it gives the wearer more opportunity to style it to suit themselves with killer accessories. The cinched in waist is very flattering, too.

Buy it here.

2. Sandals by Zara - £59.99

I discovered these in Chelsea at the weekend and they are as amazing in real life as they look on the website. There were three people in the queue ahead of me buying a pair. GET THEM NOW.

Buy them here.

3. Dress by Related - £67.50 (reduced from £225)

Bring the meadow to the city. At least in this flowery landscape you can guarantee not to be pestered by wasps. (If you, errrr, only wear it inside).

Buy it here.

4. Dress by Tibi - £385

There's something about this dress that still manages to be floaty and airy even though it's pretty well structured with its cinched waist and cut out details. The gorgeous green makes it perfect for outdoorsy parties this summer. Start saving.

Buy it here.

5. Necklace by Lulu Frost - £114 (reduced from £380)

Inspired by Marie Antoinette, this 'Revolution' necklace is a whole lot of gold plate, crystals and awesomeness. It's not annoyingly heavy so you can wear it all day without needing a neck transplant before you're even on pre-drinks.

Buy it here.

6. Dress by Diane Von Furstenberg - £375

Got a wedding to go to this summer? This silk-jersey dress is superbly flattering and wins all the effortless chic points. Casually perfect is much better than try-hard perfect.

Buy it here.

7. Clutch by & Other Stories - £19

It's shiny, it's scuba like, it could have been made by Christopher Kane. AND IT'S CHEAP. Very very necessary.

Buy it here.

8. Skirt by Topshop - £22

Greens may be good for you, but this season's leaves are ocean blue.

Buy it here.

9. Shorts by Jaded London - £35

Pineapples! Kiwis! I carried a watermelon! This is the only fruit salad we're interested in this summer.

Buy them here.

10. Shorts by Zimmermann - £49.50 (reduced from £165)

If you're looking for a pair of board shorts for the beach this season, Net-a-Porter have *heavily* reduced their gorgeous range of Zimmermann shorts. Now's the time to snap up a pair, as full price can be hard to justify when you know you'll probably spill ice cream down them.
