On Repeat

13 June 2014

Summer and World Cup themed music this weekend... Turn up the office speakers and roll on the drinks at 6pm! #FridayFloorFillers

1. Calvin Harris “Summer”

The man with the midas touch just can’t go wrong at the moment. Arguably the most successful name in dance music, having earned a reported $46 million last year as well as holding the record for the most Top 10 UK singles from one studio album surpassing even Michael Jackson. Having worked with Dizzee Rascal, Kylie Minogue and Rihanna to produce hits, he is now back with his fourth studio album of which “Summer” is the lead track…get ready to bounce!

2. Sister Sledge “Lost in Music” (Dmitri from Paris rmx)

Massive summer anthem from the disco don himself, Dmitri from Paris! A superb remix of this 7o’s classic from the Sister Sledge, think massive strings, funky beat and hands in the air track that will get you in the mood for a cocktail this evening. Fast fact: Sister Sledge are still performing today 50 years on from their heyday while Dmitri has just released a brand new disco compilation on Defected Records.

3. Lighting Seeds “Three Lions”

It’s impossible not to metnion this week the start of the World Cup in Brazil…so as a bit of a random finish, here’s my favourite sing along World Cup song…you know you love it! C’mon IN-GERR-LAAAND!
