In a recent article with Star Magazine, nutritionist Mike McInnes who created ‘The Honey Diet’ said, ‘Honey is different…because it is a special type of fructose sugar, it’s absorbed by the body in a way that helps weight loss.'
Celebrities are jumping on the craze as well, with 90210’s Jessica Lowndes and reality star turned fitness fanatic, Josie Gibson both huge fans of the diet. So we obviously wanted to jump on the bandwagon, but add a fun and naughty element to the new health trend.
And so a light bulb went off in our heads…a honey based cocktail. Alcohol + good-for-you-honey = an absolute winner, ladies and gents.
Depending on your sex, we’ve named this epic drink Queen/King B on The Rocks, as it’s a crowning glory of ours. This cocktail is fierce, punchy and above all, sweet. It’s incredibly easy to make from the comfort of your home and you won’t feel guilty after a cocktail or five.
0.75oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
0.75oz honey syrup
1. Shake up all the ingredients together.
2. Fill a tumbler with ice cubes.
3. Pour the ingredients over the ice.
4. Garnish with a slice of lime.
