It’s Friday and that only means one thing… time to boost up your work computer speakers or plug in your headphones for some lunchtime boogieing! #FridayFloorFillers
1. Whitney Houston “Love Will Save The Day” (The Golden Boy Remix)
Something hot that I discovered on my favourite You Tube channel form the Eton Messy boys. The Golden Boy is a new upcoming producer/DJ and he’s on the money with this bootleg. Think disco housey beats mashed up with the iconic Ms Houston’s vocals - this is a proper funked up gem that is a guaranteed floor filler.
2. Daft Punk “One More Time”
Classic alert! The French duo of Thomas Banglater and Guy de Homme are the stuff of legend as they hide behind their robot masks and produce killer dancefloor tunes. Moving forward from the ground breaking debut album, Homework, the duo went for a more slick sound on album no.2 Discovery of which “One More Time” was the massive hit. Featuring the vocals of acclaimed underground house singer, Romanthony, the vocals are heavily distorted and introduced a new sound to the dancefloor.
3. Charli XCX “SuperLove”
Hot new girl on block, Charli XCX has been making noise teaming up with Icona Pop for last summer’s smash “I Luv It” and more recently Iggy A on the worldwide smash “Fancy”. Already an accomplished songwriter, Charli’s credentials are slowly building with the release of her solo album last year and North American Tour, it’s only a matter of time before she goes stratospheric. I love her catchy vocals and this release from September last year is a regular on my iPod, proper girly dance around your handbag pop!
