Put Your Best Foot Forward

14 November 2014

Last week I said that "new season" means "new coat" (you can see my pick of the high street's best coats here) but let's be honest, the new season also means NEW BOOTS.

I struggle to balance my lust for new boots against the bitter years of experience that tell me I don't actually like wearing boots and inevitably find them uncomfortable, but most women seem to enjoy stomping about in boots and I suppose I can live vicariously through them.

There's no point pretending I'll resist buying more this season. It's just the consumerist way.

Happy shopping!

1. Madness Boots by Topshop - £68

Statement white boots are top of my boot flavoured wishlist. So fash-un.

Buy them here.

2. Velvet Boots by ASOS - £50

Velvet shoes are obviously a ridiculous idea any time other than November, December and January, but these boots are a fab colour and the pointy toe would make me feel like a clever fashion witch from a book.

Buy them here.

3. Savannah Boots by Kurt Geiger - £295

You can get similar leopard styles for less on the high street, but these are the nicest I've seen and they are real pony leather rather than hairy plastic.

Buy them here.

4. Chained Boots by Zara - £79.99

Like, woah.

Buy them here.

5. Clementine Boots by Office - £85

I love the colour, but it's the contrast block heel that's really made me crave these boots.

Buy them here.

6. Legion Boots by Jimmy Choo - £695

Black and navy is a fave combo of mine anyway, but navy suede against black leather? I DIE. Apologies for bringing these boots into your life, I know they are expensive.

Buy them here.

7. Finney Boots by UGG Australia - £140

My current boot of choice. Sheepskin on the inside but tough leather on the outside, I've worn these in the rain all week and my feet have stayed warm and toasty.

Buy them here.

8. Shadow Boots by KG Kurt Gieger - £150

Glitter is good for you.

Buy them here.

9. Fur Boots by Zara - £49.99

I'm not convinced these *really* count as boots, but I liked them too much to keep them a secret. And Zara are calling them boots. So that's that.

Buy them here.

10. Shoreditch Biker Boots by Hunter - £95

Why do we only talk about wellies in the summer, when it's now that we really need them?! This pair are gorgeous and don't look overly welly-like, so YOU won't look like a welly when you wear them on the tube.

Buy them here.
