I clearly think it's a lot hotter than it actually is, judging by the inclusion of shorts and sandals in this weekend's shopping edit. I'm not going to apologise for my bare leg optimism though, summer BBQs will be here soon. Soonish. Won't they?!
1. Waistcoat by Zara - £69.99
I love this whole outfit, the pure white really helps the bright yellow 'pop' in this look. I'd recommend styling similarly, but this waistcoat would also work with all black, denim and a royal blue or bright red look. If you wanted to go with the block colour idea, you could try red trousers and a blue top with white sunglasses and pretend to be a walking talking Lichtenstein. I would.
2. Bag by Miss Selfridge - £25
Surely the quickest/easiest way to add summery vibes to any outfit?
3. Sunglasses by & other stories - £19
The shape and the colour are winning here.
4. Watch by PPB - £22
A great watch for chilled afternoons in the park. Might not be office appropriate, but at £22 you can afford to have a 'friendship watch' for weekends. Also, a great gift idea for your bestie.
5. Shorts by Miss Selfridge - £35
Blame House of Hackney but if it's got leaves on it, I want it.
6. Sliders by Topshop - £26
Just remember to get a pedi, some of the 'new season' toes I've seen this week on the tube have been genuinely terrifying.
7. Dress by Trash - £14 (reduced from £28)
It's ditzy, it's cute and it's cheap enough that you can sit on the grass without worrying too much about it.
8. Trainers by Nike - £95
I really do think Nike Air Max are the BEST TRAINERS EVER so this summery style is going straight in my shopping basket. Chances they'll stay this white longer than a day? Slim to non-existent. Look after them like needy newborns to keep them fresher than fresh.
9. Trousers by Topshop - £40
With a wide leg cut and vertical stripes, these trousers don't just look fabulous...they'll do clever visual tricks to make you look longer and leaner too.
10. Heels by & other stories - £65
It's not summer until you've bought three pairs of shoes with chunky wooden heels, that's the law. Do things a bit differently this season by opting for a statement blue pair like these.
