I'm a bit overexcited about the SS15 trend for all things seventies inspired. You can see it starting to trickle into the high street already as the Christmassy sale stock is finally shoved out of sight.
If it's suede, fringed, crocheted, denim, printed or flared then there's a high chance I really REALLY want it. And watching American Hustle the other weekend hasn't helped.
There'll be a lot more 70s in the shops soon but these are my picks from the first drops.
1. Dungarees by Girls on Film - £44
You need a pair of dungarees but they don't have to be denim 'practical' ones that reek of 90s hip hop mistakes, go more The Good Life with a satiny soft version like these. (The matching top worn here is worth a buy too, it's £27 here).
2. Bag by Zara - £139
When the fabulous fringing is this long you don't have to justify this purchase to anyone.
3. Dress by Miss Selfridge - £42
A denim dress may go against your better instincts but we'll all be wearing them soon so may as well get in there first.
4. Wedges by Topshop - £52
They're almost comfy! Almost.
5. Trousers by River Island - £35
The high waist and palazzo legs make these trousers superbly flattering, even if you have a sizeable bum like me. Prepare to get noticed and obviously wear with something slightly plainer on top.
6. Jumpsuit by Love - £45
Every 70s mob wife needs one.
7. Skirt by Jovanna - £50
This skirt is a little bit different and looks a lot spendier than it is, the colour and material alone are fab but those pearls? Those are pretty damn great.
8. Bikini by Anna Kosturova - £27 (reduced from £135)
It's not bikini weather yet, far from it, but the 70s trend will be in full swing come summertime so bag this designer bargain now and feel the smuggery later. My fave kind of shopping.
9. Trousers by Topshop - £39
10. Dress by Altuzarra for Target - £11 (reduced from £55)
The folksy style to this dress will def be a winner come summer and at £11 it would be rude not to.
