This week's shopping edit took longer than usual to write because I kept having to stop to BUY ALL THE THINGS. The British high street is the gift that keeps on giving at the moment.
There seems to be more variety this summer (don't wanna wear nautical stripes or florals or 70s? You don't have to, for once!) and every shop window seems to beckon me in and make me feel like shiny poolside sliders are more important than mortgage repayments.
Whilst I sit back and await my various online deliveries, here are just some of the things that have made their way into my basket...
1. Sunglasses by & other stories - £12
Sunnies with arms are soooooo last summer babe. Weighted chains are where it's at. Intriguing and great.
2. Bikini by Accessorize - £29
Neon pink and orange are my fave clashing colour combo. This twisty bikini has detachable straps but I say less is more....build that tan and shine bright like a - highlighter?
3. Visor by River Island - £22
It took a trip to Texas to convince me of the power of the straw visor. But don't let that put you off, they really are brilliant.
4. Sandals by & other stories - £65
Sporty, playful and - importantly - both beach and Central Line appropriate.
5. Dress by Miss Selfridge - £25
Dorothy goes bodycon.
6. Skirt by Cos - £59
I'm certain I wore this skirt for dance lessons in 1993. So that's a good enough reason for me to NEED IT IMMEDIATELY. (Bitchin' French plait optional)
7. Keyring by Topshop - £6
I think it's fair to say that Topshop took more than a little bit of inspiration from Fendi for this keyring design, but hey...it's £6. Fendi can't say that.
8. Dress by Sister Jane - £56
Bardot necklines and boho frills in delightful lightweight tangerine make me happy. Just put a pina colada in my hand and I'm all set.
9. Trousers by Oasis - £38
Never underestimate the power of striped wide leg trousers. Instant off-duty model vibez, whilst still being lovely and comfy.
10. Dress by Topshop - £55
This is a wonderful statement dress and I adore the neckline, but it's the relaxed silhouette that I particularly like. We all know that 'relaxed silhouette' is fashion code for 'nobody will notice your food baby'. A winning combination.
