Without realising it, I appear to have dedicated SFTW entirely to dresses again. A pair of sliders crept in (the mirrored silver was just too good to ignore) but I'm afraid if you're not a fan of dresses....you may not wanna read any further.
I'm not sure I need to apologise though, dresses are great. They don't have to be hideously girly and there's something that's just so *easy* about them. I particularly love dresses for travelling because they're instant outfits, you don't have to lay out all your clothes on the floor and have a cry about whether you have enough tops for your skirts and if your shorts will actually match those vests and if OH GOD MAKE IT STOP.
Dresses are fabulous. And here are some nice ones...
1. Dress by Topshop - £36
When Topshop introduced their oh so popular scalloped edged vests a few seasons ago it was a bit "why did nobody do this earlier?!". I'm pleased to see they've taken their scalloped edges into other garments now though, like this playful cut-out mini dress. What a beaut.
2. Sliders by & other stories - £39
The foam sole is so spongy. Bouncy bouncy joy :)
3. Dress by Cos - £115
This contrast hem dress isn't the cheapest, but it's a stunner and the clean lines will ensure you definitely stand out from the crowd. It may well just be my wedding guest dress of the summer.
4. Dress by Corey Lynn Calter - £138
Stripes or florals? Florals or stripes? Have both, you deserve it.
5. Dress by Warehouse - £38
Sports luxe was such a huge trend a few summers ago that I now really miss it. I'll always love sporty shapes though and this dress is the perfect antidote for all the denim/70s/suede most of the shops want you to wear.
6. Dress by Sister Jane - £65
I love that this dress manages to be boho and prim & proper all at once. Great for when you fancy something a bit folksy/vintage-y without all the billowing fabric.
7. Dress by Maeve - £148
You can always rely on Anthropologie to deliver something a bit different on the dress front. This beautifully feminine dress has all the details you'd desire (crochet neckline, waist accentuating tie, lining to protect the silhouette) and the print makes me very happy.
8. Dress by Motel - £35
More of a slip really, this can be thrown on any time for laid-back summertime fun.
9. Dress by Oasis - £55
This dress is SO soft but aside from that lovely detail, can we take a second to appreciate how gorgeous this print is?
10. Dress by & other stories - £19 (was £65)
I've ordered mine!
