Eat & Drink with Mabel

30 March 2015

Well, Mabel's Bar & Kicthen has officially been welcomed to the neighbourhood and boy are we happy to have her.

You may or may not have visited her yet - how rude if you haven’t, it’s polite to welcome newcomers you know – but we thought we would breakdown the best bits of her to make sure you aren’t missing out on anything.

First of all we would like to commend her marvellous menu, she really does have something for everyone with some amazing light bits perfect for the Spring including scrumptious salads like the butter lettuce, pear, almond and oxford blue number and light snacks like the peanut butter chicken skewers – hello yummy my name is hungry. The salad we are salivating over today is the Honey & Soy Marinated Salmon, Asparagus, Confit Potato, Beans, Peas AND Seeds.

If you are looking for something a little more substantial there is a full range of grilled sandwiches for a lunchtime fill or mains like butternut squash and spinach risotto or British Chicken Burger. Naturally it wouldn’t be right if there wasn’t a fine selection of meaty options to boot including a delicious Burger, a flat iron steak and a rib eye. If you have room for dessert the brownie is looking like a hands down winner.

Now that the food stuff is out of the way we thought we would give you a glimpse of the good stuff, hello cocktails. Mabel’s really know where it is at when it comes to cocktails – we are absolutely raving about the raspberry and rhubarb martini, it is to die for. The rum punch is also pretty excellent and if you are a traditionalist then all you need all night long is the Rosemary Collins.

In all honesty we can’t really tell you how good it is – you just have to try them for yourself. See you at Mabel’s.
