This month the Late Night London Meetings and Events team invited Hannah Durrant, Head of Events at Hire Space to experience all that Hays Galleria has to offer. A venue finding professional herself, Hannah works on over 500 events annually across the UK.
Here’s what Hannah had to say about one of the city’s most loved venues.
I was delighted when Late Night London invited me to experience Hays Galleria. The venue is always of great interest to the Hire Space team due to its fantastic location. Situated at the heart of the hustle and bustle of London.
For us accessibility is something that clients are quite uncompromising on and Hays Galleria can certainly service that, just a stone’s throw from London Bridge, with buses passing by on the minute. One of the things that is unique about Hays Galleria is the outdoor pétanque pitch, a great way to introduce a team building element to any event or after conference activity with a glass of Pimm’s.
The menu at Hays Galleria is a blend of British heritage meets modern chic with an impressive wine list ideal for a summer party, launch event or drinks reception. With an outdoor indoor feel I can think of a number of briefs this venue fulfils.
Our waiter informed us that everything on the menu was responsibly sourced and the veggies were updated seasonally. He also mentioned that Hays Galleria host masterclasses from gin to whiskey to fortified wines, a bonus in my book.
I decided to try the burger, a simple but hearty dish with succulent beef, a lightly toasted fresh bun and salted fries. The serve was simple on a wood board with a selection of sauces. Looking at other diners choices the seabass, lamb shank and mushroom risotto are favourites.
I really enjoyed Hays Galleria and will definitely be visiting the venue again. If you are looking for a venue with something different about it, in a great location with a summery best of British feel, Hays Galleria is definitely worth having a look at.
