A Typical British Summer

28 July 2017

British Summer you never fail to disappoint us!

We spend a month’s wages on ASOS in preparation for the 6 month heatwave we were promised in the daily express, and after 4 weeks of alright to good weather, you fail us. The rain is back and so is the thick muggy summer’s air that goes with it, so there is only one thing for it…. Drinks! Here the best bars to visit for inclement weather conditions:

The Long Acre – This warm and friendly bar will keep you dry and in the party spirit. For those that enjoy a cigarette or vape with their drink there are canopies outside to keep you dry should there be a catastrophic down pour!

Gem – Who would have thought scaffolding outside a bar could be a good thing? Well you only realise how helpful it is when you’ve danced yourself into a sweat, that resembles Niagara falls and want to cool down, but it’s raining.

Piccadilly Institute – located right next to Piccadilly Circus station, it’s is in the perfect locations, especially with the 24hour tube! Piccadilly Institute is set over 4 floors and as 9 bars, so you definitely won’t get bored.

Foundation – this underground hangout is one you need to check out. Its eclectic cool vibe and friendly bar team will have you returning again and again.

The Warwick – the relaxed gastro pub vibes will give you all the feels on a rainy day, and similar to The Long Acre, they have a canopy to keep you cheeky smokers dry.
