Trending Christmas Party Outfits

When Christmas comes around, so do usually the party invitations (at least, we hope so).

Though we love this time of year for bringing a packed social calendar, it can also bring with it elements of pressure and stress as we worry about what to wear to the next get-together (sometimes wearing the same outfit three times in a row can be tedious).

We’ve put together some pretty attention-grabbing party outfits that’ll help you out of any fashion hole this Christmas. Whether you need something cute, silly or simply outrageous, these trending Christmas ensembles come to the rescue to ensure you’ll always turn heads.

1. Gangstaclaus Suit

Men, step this way. If a dapper suit is what you’re looking for, the Gangstaclaus ticks all of the boxes.

With jacket, trousers and matching tie in a decadent nordic pattern, this dapper slim-fit suit will ensure you look every bit in the Christmas spirit. The jacket features inside pockets, a two-button front, double-vented back and padded shoulders, which will look terrific paired with a snow-white shirt.

2. Rolling Stone Christmas Jumper

There’s a trend at the moment for Christmas jumper parties, and while it might be an assault on the eyes, it does make for a comfortable and pleasantly cosy attire.

Check out this classic blue and red Rolling Stone tongue Christmas jumper. It’ll ensure you look just the right amount of silly while still maintaining a thread of cool.

3. ‘Gingle Bells’ Christmas Jumper

One for both the ladies and the fellas, this white ‘Gingle Bells’ Christmas jumper is totally cute and the perfect addition to any outfit in December.

Featuring a pair of gin bottles in place of bells, this sweater is a playful nod to the famous Christmas carol and lets everybody know what you’ll be drinking this Christmas.

4. Sparkly A-Line Skirt

Okay, serious face now. I love this sparkly A-line skirt in raspberry velvet - such a gorgeous piece for any office party or night out with friends.

The colour isn’t overly Christmassy but has just the right amount of holiday cheer, while the sequins tell everyone you’re ready to party.

5. Father Christmas Midi Party Dress

Looking to make a statement this season? This plus size lace panel Father Christmas midi dress just oozes festivity, whilst remaining flirty and flattering.

From the scooped neck with scalloped detail to the lace shoulder paneling and elegant v-back cut, this dress is a fun and easy holiday outfit that’ll get anyone in the festive spirit.

6. Jewelled Sock Ankle Boots

Few shoes keep you warm like sock boots. These jewelled ones from Uterque bring all the warmth along with a hint of sophisticated glamour.

Feel free to pair them with some comfy skinny jeans and a stylish baggy sweater.

7. Frill Neck Jumper

This cute frill-neck jumper from Topshop ticks all the boxes when it comes to seasonal wear. Warm, baggy and a deep shade of green, it carries a festive hint while still remaining stylish.

The addition of the ruffle neck also throws out a ‘Santa’s li’l helper’ vibe.

8. Pleated Crushed-Velvet Mini Dress

I’m loving this crushed-velvet mini dress from Alexa Chung. The loose casual style makes it comfy enough for a Christmas dinner, while still pairing well with heels for after-work drinks.

The crushed-velvet material and deep burgundy colour also add to the festivities.

9. Black Pelted Faux Fur Jacket

Every going-out outfit needs a good jacket. The kind that looks seasonal, chic and actually does the job of keeping you warm.

I feel that this black pelted faux fur jacket more than does the trick. The tiered look of the fur adds a bit of an edge and it looks awesome with a sparkly dress and some black ankle boots.

10. Red Over-the-Knee Boots

Step aside and get a load of these red over-the-knee boots from River Island.

Sultry and striking, these boots scream ‘yuletide’, while still making sure you look every bit the queen at your next Christmas do. Pair them with a sexy cocktail dress and a statement jacket, like the one above.

11.  Plisse Culotte Jumpsuit

This black polka dot plisse jumpsuit is super cute and would make a statement at any party.

The baggy fit and culotte cut-off style in the trousers give an air of laid-back chic, while pairing them with a pair of bold ankle boots and tassel earrings will add a pop of colour.
