Why dad's are the best

Mum's are good too though!

The day to celebrate all the dads out there is nearing us. I was going to use the term daddy at some point during this blog, but thought against it, as these days it has 2 meanings. If you don’t know what I mean by that, lucky you!

Any who, I would say dads are the most underrated of the parents and we should really make more effort on Father’s day. With that in mind here are 5 reasons to celebrate your dad! (disclaimer: this might just apply to mine, but I’m sure you’ll find something you can relate to)

They don’t take your shit! And what I mean by that is they won’t get into a heated argument and tell you why you’re wrong, you just are, move on.

They don’t get too involved in your relationships (especially if you’re a girl). They just want the top line low down and they’re fine.

They will get involved in your relationships when you need them to, and they’ll know exactly when that is.

The terrible dad jokes that prepare you for faking laughing at your boss’s terrible jokes. If that hasn’t happened to you yet, it will.

They are generally really good at DIY and having what seem like irrelevant tools. My dad for example is basically Ainsley Harriot and Bob the Builder all in one. Need a strawberry de-seeder, he’s got one. Need a sledge hammer –he’s got one.

We not only salute the dad’s but also the mum’s that do all the work!
