Hot Chocolate Rum at The Aviary
Did you order one of these delights last year? The Hot Chocolate Rum was made with Gosling Black Seal rum, Dark Deluxe chocolate and milk and it was served with a gorgeous sticky marshmallow garnish. It almost looked too good to drink, but we did anyway.
The Fig Poppa at Dirty Bones
If you managed to visit a Dirty Bones over then festive season last year then we like to assume that you ordered one (or 5) of thier Christmas cocktail, The Fig Poppa. This delight mixed Bulleit bourbon, Pedro Ximinez sherry, cinnamon, figs, lime and Fee Brother’s plum bitters together to create a glorious concoction that would make anyone feel festive. It was served with a rosemary spring and cinnamon stick to really add to the festivity. Cute.
Winter Cocktails at Madison Rooftop
Last year, Madison teamed up with CîROC to create a lovely collection of winter warmer cocktails (including the lovely Apple Pie Hot Toddy, which tasted as good as it sounds). They also transformed their rooftop into a White Forest which featured an overhead canopy of twinkling lights, centre piece fire braziers and faux fur wearable blankets.
A city favourite, just over the road from The Bank of England and Bank tube station is Forge. Nothing says Christmas like a champagne tower. We love Forge for festive drinks with the team, but their food is so inceredible that you'll want to book your Christmas Dinner there too.
And, Forge is open late so when Christmas 2018 rolls around you know where to go for late night festive fun.
In the heart of Soho you'll find 100 Wardour Street, a bar and restaurant that is known for amazing weekly live music. 100 Wardor Street is known for pulling out all the stops at Christmas time, plus the ground floor bar is a great little meet up point for drinks and bar snacks (eating isn't cheating at Christmas).
A Balham staple the Exhibit Bar is a great place for early evening drinks that can lead into late night G&T's and dancing your night away. Luckily it's less than a 2 min walk from a 24 hour tube line so, you'll still be able to get home in the early hours, perfect at Christmas time.
