Vegan Restaurants in London

Find our favourite vegan restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner in London

It’s undeniable, veganism is growing in popularity. Whether you’re a diehard vegan, a newbie to the diet or maybe you’re just curious about what vegans eat(!) – make sure you hit up these london restaurants and bars that make a vegan diet look anything but bland.

The best Vegan Restaurants and Bars in London (we think)

Vegan + Street Food = Club Mexicana

For an easy way to try vegan food without having to think to much about it, get yourself down to Club Mexicana in Dalston (they’re all great, but Dalston is our fav). Combining 2 of our favourite loves – street food and Mexican food – their menu is so tasty that you’ll easily forget that you can feel far less guilty about that guilty pleasure.

A vegan kinda brunch at Haunt London

Embracing a vegan diet doesn’t mean you miss out on a fry up. Head over to West Hackney (and don’t roll your eyes!) for a helping of feakon rashers, scrambled tofu and all the trimmings. It’s amazing. They also do pancakes for those that like to start the day the awesome way.

Draft House

One of our favourite places that make vegan eating more inclusive is Draft House. Next to all the gorgeous burgers and naughty food are some truly delicious vegetarian and vegan dishes that you will love (find out how much we loved their veggie burger if you need more convincing).

It's the perfect place to go to if you want gorgeous Vegetarian and Vegan food, but your mates are after something a bit more meaty. With loads of Draft House bars in London, you're sure to find one near you.

A vegan dinner date

Arguably one of the most popular vegan restaurants in London, 222 Veggie Vegan (now an entirely vegan restaurant) serves up great food, perfect for a cheeky lunch date or dinner catch up with your favourites. Plus, you’re being good to yourself at the same time (unless we count the 7 cocktails you plan to drink at the next bar – don’t think we don’t know!)

Bella Italia

Like Draft House, Bella Italia make it super easy for Vegetarians and Vegans to eat out with their mates who may fancy a bit of meat (wink wink). Their menu is packed with loads of gorgeous dishes suitable for those of us who prefer a meat free diet.

They've got loads of restaurants dotted around London so you'll find one nearby.

Japanese vegan food? You heard it right! Itadaki Zen can help you out.

Love Japanese food? Love all things vegan? This restaurant in London’s Kings Cross combines your 2 loves and serves them to you – what more do you want? Ideal for a first date - great train connections mean it’s easy to get to (and from, if you know what I mean) – and ever so popular. You cannot go wrong.

Veggie Pret

Ok, so we know it's not a restaurant, but there's nothing more helpful than seeing a veggie pret when you are on a plant based diet. From the falafel, avo & chipotle flat bread to the vegan mac & greens. It's the perfect little pitstop for your vegen and veggie take out needs!

By Chloe comes to the UK!

The popular US vegan brand By Chloe has made it's way over to the UK this year and luckily for us, they've made Covent Garden their home.

By Chloe is known for their diverse delicious menu that features lentil, chia and walnut burgers, kale Caesar salad & a whole array of vegan desserts, just to mention a few.

They're set to open another restaurant in Tower Bridge soon, and we can't wait!

Temple of Hackney

If you haven't tried the famous vegan 'fried chicken' yet, we suggest heading east to give it ago. The 'chicken' is made out of seitan and is flavoured and fried to make it delicious.

Warning: there are often long queues and they do sell out pretty quick. But trust us, it's worth the wait.
