To celebrate the super fan star wars day falling on the Friday of the first may bank holiday weekend The Exhibit are showing Star Wars The Last Jedi. Enjoy dinner with wine (of course) before setteling down in their comfy seats and enjoying the movie.
Sneak booze into prison at Alcotraz
This prison themed cocktail bar in Shoreditch is guaranteed to make you feel a bit naughty. Hop into an orange jumpsuit and sneak your booze past the guards to the inmate mixologist. Defiantly worth a visit, if not over the bank holiday weekend, just generally.
Revolutionise yourself in Putney at Revolution
Handily located on Putney High Street, right opposite Putney station is Revolutions. This is the place to go to fill up your Instagram feed with weird and wonderful cocktails (they taste good, not just look good) and relax in a fun environment. It’s a one stop shop where you can get a bit of food, have a few drinks and dance around. There’s even a roof terrace if (fingers crossed) the sun comes out.
Tanner & Co in London Bridge is a great intimate, yet spacious venue that is great for a day of drinking and eating. They have a school gymnasium feel to take you back to your education routes, while knocking back pints. Oh and there’s a bottomless brunch that has been named one of London’s most affordable. Perfy!
With 2 locations in South London, Clapham & Tooting, this neighbourhood bar serves up unique cocktails by a team anyone could love! Their social eats menu is so good you’ll want to graze you’re way through the evening, which is great to soak up all those moreish boozy cocktails.
If you want something a bit more fun over the weekend, head down to Stratford Westfield. Not only can you do a bit of shopping, but also visit All Star Lanes, a boutique bowling bar inspired by the US. This is by no means a Hollywood bowl, think cool interior, great cocktails and delicious filling food.
Late May Bank Holiday
Hopefully the sun will be out over the bank holiday weekend and we can enjoy some of London’s bars with rooftops and fab outside spaces. But just encase the weather lets us down as it so often does; here’s a mix of the bars you should be visiting over the Late May Bank Holiday.
We all know visiting Canary Wharf is like being in a different city and what better way to spend a bank holiday Friday or Saturday. Smollenky’s are known for their handmade burgers and varied wine selection. They also have a cute little outside terrace that faces the river.
