Late Night London Limited (“LNL”) believes it is important that you know how we deal with the information you provide via its website, Latenightlondon.co.uk (“Website”).
For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (the Act), the data controller is Late Night London Limited of Clareville House, 26-27 Oxendon Street, London, SW1Y 4EL. Our nominated representative for the purpose of the Act is The Late Night London Brand Manager.
In general, you may visit the Website without providing us with any personal data about yourself. Our servers will collect the domain names, operating system in use (e.g., Macintosh, Windows) and browser (e.g., Netscape, Internet Explorer) when you access the Website. This information is aggregated to measure, inter alia, the number of visits, average time spent on the Website and pages viewed. LNL uses this information to measure the usage of the Website and to improve the Website’s content. The interactions available to you as part of 'My Late Night Plan’ and the account function are designed to offer a personalised content experience from LNL. LNL asks you to share your data with it to enable the creation of that personalised content. This includes relevant content and offers, some of which will be supplied by trusted third parties. LNL will not pass on your individual user details to third parties without asking for your explicit consent first.
My Late Night Plan, Account Function and Facebook
When joining ‘My Late Night Plan’ or setting up an account, you will be asked to log in using your Facebook account. The service asks Facebook for permission to access selected Facebook data, which enables the service to work – for example your Friends list. This data is stored by LNL against your ‘My Late Night Plan’ profile. You can choose what personal information is displayed on the Website by referring to Account Settings. When you log in to ‘My Late Night Plan’ or account using Facebook, the application will check for any changes and update your profile on the Website accordingly. Additionally if you amend details in the ‘About You’ section of the Website, this data will be retained as the master copy of your data. If you choose to deactivate your account all data we hold on you will be deleted. Your Facebook account will be unaffected.
A technology called "cookies" may be used to provide you with tailored information. A "cookie" is a tiny element of data that a website can send to your browser, which may then be stored on your hard drive so we can recognize you when you return. You may be able to set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie. Our cookies collect the operating system and browser that a visitor is using. When you give LNL your e-mail address, you are asked to let LNL know how it can be used. Data will not be passed on to third parties. If you make a purchase via the Website the assumption will be made that you will be interested in similar products and you may receive emails with information about these products. You can unsubscribe from receiving emails from LNL at any time by following the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email you receive from us.
LNL co-operates with all law-enforcement authorities and reserves the right to disclose personally identifying or aggregate information in connection with crime prevention, a subpoena or other court-sanctioned demand for such information.
LNL has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under its control. Despite these efforts LNL cannot guarantee that an unauthorised third party won’t obtain access to communications between users and LNL. Accordingly all data is supplied at the sole risk of the user.
Collection of personal data from Children
Content on the Website is not directed to users under the age of 13 years old (Children"). LNL will not knowingly collect information from Children.
Transfer of Data
LNL may, from time to time, use third party suppliers to provide some or all of the services that we provide to you. In some circumstances outside service providers may be based in countries outside the European Economic Area whose laws provide for a different standard of protection for your personal data than that provided under UK Law. In such circumstances, LNL will put in place strict contractual arrangements that will require your data to be processed securely or at least to a standard equivalent to the UK Data Protection Act 1998, as amended by any subsequent legislation from time to time.
